Today is an important anniversary. 65 years ago fathers, brothers, and sons took part in one of the largest military operations ever. They jumped out of airplanes, slogged their way out of landing craft and drove tanks into coastal France in the beginning of the end of World War II.
They left their lives at home, and a good number of them never made it back. Take some time to remember the people who make it possible for us to do the things we take for granted every day.
