Here’s another addition to the Hamilton collection that came courtesy of a trade on Beckett. Its from a set I wasn’t familiar with – 2000 Team Best Rookies. Hamilton is pictured with the Hudson Valley Renegades.
I almost thought I’d discover something fantastic or maybe scandalous written on the knob of his bat, but that was not to be. As best as I can tell, the writing says ‘DMZ’ – no idea if it stands for anything in particular, or even if it is Hamilton’s own bat. Regardless, its fun to check out the little details on cards as well. Even if there are no hidden curse words to be found. Anyone who knows who / what ‘DMZ’ might stand for other than ‘demilitarized zone’ feel free to chime in.
